The Global Logistic & Fulfilment team oversees planning, coordinating, and execution of the transportation and distribution of products from CM's to markets across international borders. Reacting in near real-time to global events utilising digital visibility to provide reliable, efficient, and cost-effective logistics services on a global scale.

About the role

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing Global logistics transformation projects, Optimizing the logistics network, improving warehousing operations, and leading cost optimization efforts. You will analyse processes, develop optimization strategies, lead cross-functional projects, interact with stakeholders, and support business goals through logistics excellence.

Additional responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Lead and oversee cross-functional logistics projects (network redesigns, warehouse process changes, system implementations) from concept to implementation. Work in close partnership with the Market Supply Chain team.

  • Track progress, communicate with stakeholders, and prepare project documentation.
     

Network Design & Optimization

  • Analyse existing logistics and distribution networks and propose data-driven improvements to optimize cost, service, and scalability.

  • Use modelling tools to evaluate warehouse/distribution center locations, transport routes, and inventory flows.

  • Collaborate with Market supply chain, Finance, procurement, and IT teams to ensure network solutions meet current and anticipated business requirements.

Warehousing Operations Optimization

  • Assess warehousing processes (internal and/or 3PL) to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, layout improvements, and capacity utilization.

  • Develop recommendations for process improvements, automation, and inventory control enhancements.

  • Monitor and report on key warehousing KPIs, such as accuracy, throughput, and space utilization.

Logistics Cost Optimization

  • Analyze transportation, storage, and warehousing costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.

  • Benchmark logistics expenses against industry standards and prepare detailed business cases for process, system, or supplier changes.

  • Support contract reviews and supplier evaluations in collaboration with procurement.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Market supply chain, planning, procurement, production, sales, and IT teams to gather requirements and support execution of logistics solutions.

  • Serve as a liaison with external partners, such as 3PLs and transportation providers, as required.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field required; Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in logistics network design, warehouse operations, or transportation management. Experience in cost optimization, process improvements, and leading cross-functional projects is essential, preferably within FMCG, retail, or manufacturing sectors.

  • Proficiency with WMS/SAP systems, and strong Excel or data analysis capabilities required. Experience presenting findings and recommendations to varied stakeholders highly valued.

  • Ability to manage logistics or warehouse-related projects from concept to implementation, and to engage cross-functionally with teams in supply chain, procurement, finance, production, sales, and IT.

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
